Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Squad Claim ("the Service"), operated by Squad Claim ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Squad Claim is a recreational sports team management platform that allows users to create and manage teams, track player statistics, organize competitions, and build verified player profiles. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Upload or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any related systems.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our express written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (team names, player profiles, match data, avatars, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content solely for operating and improving the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, logos, and code, is owned by Squad Claim and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of account deletion, except where we are required by law to retain it.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squad Claim shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Squad Claim from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
